Judy John graduated in 1963 from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, with a Degree in Law and Economics and joined a local law firm where she obtained basic experience in intellectual property matters.

In 1965 she came to the UK where she continued to work in the profession until family commitments took her back to South Africa. She returned to the UK in 1973 and re-entered the intellectual property profession in 1981, working specifically in the field of trade marks. Judy joined Jenkins in 1983 and qualified as a UK Trade Mark Attorney in 1985.

Judy has experience of all aspects of trade mark work including searching, prosecuting and oppositions in the UK, the European Union and in many other countries worldwide. Her clients include companies in the fields of music and entertainment, clothing, office equipment, photography, image processing, computer software and computer games, motorcycles, finance and insurance.

Judy is a member of ITMA and INTA and attends their meetings.
