Sarah Taylor

Sarah joined Jenkins with a BSc Honours degree in Genetics and a PhD entitled “Development of an ultrasound-targeted retroviral gene therapy vector”. Her BSc studies included research into large-scale production of proteins from E.coli bacteria for medical nanotechnology applications.
Sarah’s PhD was part of a collaboration between the Institute of Cancer Research and The Royal Marsden NHS Department of Physics, and as a result she has extensive experience of contrast-enhanced ultrasound as well as gene therapy techniques. An international patent application has been filed for the gene therapy technique that she invented as part of her research.
Sarah has been awarded a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law by Queen Mary University of London and is currently working towards her qualifications as a Chartered and European Patent Attorney. She has particular experience in patent applications relating to the fields of biotechnology and medical technology.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys painting, yoga and cooking for friends.
